Osteopathic Manual Practitioner

Alex Mader

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner

Alex approaches evaluation and treatment of his patients by assessing the global functional mechanics, local joint mobility, and then the specific tissue restriction that may be causing the dysfunction. He strives to help find a way for the body to feel and move better, or to optimize the already functioning body by freeing up tissue restrictions you didn’t know were there.

Alex is a graduate of the Collège d’Etudes Ostéopathiques (CEO), where he received his Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (DOMP) in 2022. In addition to his Osteopathic training, Alex graduated with Honours from York University in Toronto, ON with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Health Science in 2012.

Alex’s Osteopathic approach has been helpful for patients aged 4 and up. He confidently treats pain and dysfunction of the whole body especially the spine, pelvis, and hips. Osteopathic manual therapy can also help with headaches/migraines, generalized gastrointestinal discomfort/dysfunction, and issues caused by scar tissue from surgery or accidents.

Alex has lived in Dartmouth for the past 9 years with his wife and furry companions. Enjoying healthy living and wellness he likes to hike, bike, run, and strength train. He would enjoy meeting you to discuss what your wellness journey looks like!
